Design & launching a platform from scratch to allow brands to self serve and manage their QR code experiences
Background
What is Batch?
Batch is an e-commerce service that helps brands utilizes QR codes and the App Clip to produce an elegant, seamless check out experiences.
What problem needed to be solved
Batch initially operated using a concierge model, where each experience was custom-built and managed internally through a CMS before being handed off to brands. This approach limited the control brands had over their experiences and extended timelines. Additionally, the lack of a self-serve solution made it difficult for Batch to scale its business effectively.
Opportunity
Designed and launched a self-service platform from the ground up, empowering brands to independently create and manage their own experiences
Overview of the design process
Conducted a thorough analysis of Batch's internal tools and performed competitive research on similar products. Developed a comprehensive site map and wireframed the user experience, maintaining close feedback loops with stakeholders to ensure alignment on scope. This collaborative approach established clear design constraints, enabling an efficient and focused design process.
Creating a design Language
Developed a streamlined design language to maintain consistency across the entire platform experience.
