For: Faire
Role: Product Design
Redesigning a brand’s referral page help them acquire more new customers by better showcasing their products and story
Background
About the project
As a way to help retailers discover their products as well as letting them know that they are on Faire, each brand has their own landing page so they can easily share it with new or existing customers, and prompt them to create an account on Faire.
The team saw an opportunity to increase retailer sign ups by redesigning the landing page to better showcase the brand, as well as educating them on the benefits of shopping through Faire.
What is Faire?
Faire is an online wholesale marketplace that helps retailers discover independent brands from around the world.

Looking for opportunities
First action item was doing an audit of the existing landing page and finding opportunities for improvement.
Gather and disseminate user testing feedback
We gathered insights about the landing page through UserTesting since the target audience for this project were retailers that had limited or no knowledge of Faire.

Explore options
Now, with enough insights in hand, my job was then to explore a variety of design options
Option 1: Brand Widget Landing Page
Add a component in on the landing page that teases the brand’s product as well as giving retailers more insight into the brand’s story.
Option 2: Locked Brand Page
Redirect retailers to the brand’s product page so they can see the entire catalogue, while keeping the content locked until they sign up.
Final Design
After some debate, the team landed on option 1, as we felt it did a better job of highlighting the brand as well as educate retailers with Faire’s value propositions.
